VetBuilt Garage Inc. accepts donations to support our mission of serving veterans through community, education, and hands-on automotive projects. We are committed to handling every contribution responsibly, ethically, and in alignment with our nonprofit purpose.
Mission Alignment
We accept contributions that can be used in a manner consistent with our mission. If a proposed gift cannot be used to advance that mission, we reserve the right to decline it.
Protecting Donors
We do not encourage donations that would compromise a donor’s financial security. Donors are encouraged to consult with their own professional advisors before making significant charitable contributions.
No Tax or Legal Advice
VetBuilt Garage Inc. does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Donors are responsible for determining the tax implications of their contributions.
Types of Donations Accepted
- Cash and online donations
- Publicly traded securities
- Certain in-kind goods or services, subject to review
Other types of contributions — such as real estate, vehicles, non-liquid securities, or restricted gifts — may require review prior to acceptance due to legal, financial, or administrative considerations.
Acknowledgments & Valuation
We provide written acknowledgment of donations in accordance with IRS requirements. For non-cash contributions, we do not assign monetary value on donation receipts. Donors are responsible for determining the fair market value of their gifts for tax purposes.
Donor Intent & Privacy
We respect donor intent for restricted gifts whenever feasible and consistent with our mission. We also honor requests for anonymity. Donor information is not sold or shared and access is limited to authorized individuals within the organization.
No Finder’s Fees
VetBuilt Garage Inc. does not pay commissions, referral fees, or other compensation to third parties for directing donations to our organization.
